Plot is a useful tool but it’s also a pain the ass, I say.
I personally like to develop plot lines as I go, rather than do an outline and bios of all the characters. That way, the characters really come alive and can surprise me. If I outline everything beforehand it feels like writing a thesis.
Yeah, I don't want say I *can't* write from outlines, but. I can't write from outlines 😄😏
