The Lyrics and The Bad Roads songs (the latter's wicked fuzz is to die for) are nice touches. I was intrigued that you put up with Danielle as long as you did; I personally thought she was playing with you, but you know her better than me. I get the approach to Seth, as by being low key you got more info. Will be waiting for you chat with Lucinda..

I always appreciate feedback on the music choices. Music is super important for me, but it's also highly variable among folks, so I want people to feel free to sub in their own choices.

As for Dani, I guess I have been pretty hard on her in these stories, you know, exaggerated her negative traits to make her more of a lowkey antagonist and to highlight my inner turmoil and whatnot. Maybe I'll do a chapter showcasing her better sides. Of course, Horace would say I'm being too generous, that she was a total jerk with no redeeming qualities, but. That's a difference between us, I guess, for better or worse.

Really like the art and music interspersed here, and the whole choose-your-adventure angle, all hung on an interesting story about people, love, murder; the works. Plus words that are new to me, like "beamtube".... makes it crackle.

Thank you so much. In many ways, this work is a mishmash of a lot of ideas I've been turning over for awhile. The choose-your-own angle, for example; I've had plans to do one of those for this character for years now. The 'backbone' structure I developed for the book before this but hadn't gotten there yet. And so on. 'Beamtube' is part of the series jargon, most of which has a kind of retrofuturism vibe. You know, I hope 😄

Interesting how characters take on a life of their own. It's like The Matrix in that regard.

There's the idea that we don't really invent anything, we find it. (I'm most familiar with it from Stephen King, but I've seen it a few places over the years.) In my case, I lived a lot of what I've discovered, albeit in much more mundane form, and a lot of it is pretty blended up. Then you add in the reconstiuted and recursive nature of this universe and, well. This is what we get. But most people have dimensions, and we focus on the ones we really like or the ones that irk us, which is what I do a lot in these stories, for simplicity's sake.
